The Brunswick Inn

About the Inn...Feeling of Stepping Back in Time

1896 Brunswick Inn
"Circa 1896"

Step back in time and enjoy a quaint, quiet coastal hideaway nested at the mouth of the Cape Fear River, the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean.

Founded in 1792, Southport is a fiercely romantic place and a day passes lazily here with a stroll down any street in the historic waterfront district. You'll experience the peaceful, serene feeling of "stepping back"as you view old sprawling oak trees, Victorian homes, antique shops and fine restaurants.

The Inn has been carefully updated, respecting the historical integrity of this magnificent piece of architecture. The original heart pine floors, run plaster ceiling moldings, Southport bow trim, unique rotunda, louvered cathedral-shaped pocket doors, observatory and nine working fireplaces still remain intact today.
